Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She appeared in the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. from 2009 to 2010. From 2009-2010, she starred in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution from 2009-2010. It was a post-apocalyptic science- series. The show was nominated to win a Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson was her character in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. Spiridakos portrays Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, who were restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to her father's hometown, Skala, Greece south of Sparta only a few years after she was born but returned to Canada in 1992. She is strongly connected to her Greek roots and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting as a junior high school. She also attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She got her first TV job within a few weeks, a tiny part on Supernatural. She continued to appear on television, playing walk-on characters on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was part of the TV film Goblin and also in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also played a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she was awarded her first leading role in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut came in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags in Rags, a Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was then offered a main role in Revolution as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in the dystopian future), on NBC television. The audition took place while she was at her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos recorded the pilot in Atlanta and the first season in Wilmington. She was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on television for her performance in the first season but was beaten out by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. The second season was recorded in Austin, Texas.
