Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. Her appearances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most known. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played part in a minor role on The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th, 1979. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. Additionally, she was a part of professional and amateur theatre productions. In 2001, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School for the Arts.Swallow started her career in Broadway theatre which she acted in numerous productions including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off-Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was a part of two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's production of Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her performance as Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived a stage show called Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is based on the humorous mishaps of the two when they face a variety of challenges in their lives with varying degrees of sanity as well as dignity.
